Ok, so I've searched the archives and haven't found enough info on the process required to replace the starboard bulkhead in a C 27. Have an 87 that I need to repair. Anyone care to share the step by step process for removing the existing starboard bulkhead? The port side will be down as well but it seems fairly straightforward. I'd like to remove them intact to be used as a pattern. Don't want to remove the head or anything else if it doesn't have to be. Help!

Had both my bulkheads replaced in 2002 on my 1979 C27TR by a local Marina. Cost me $1400.00, but worth it considering the options. I recall writing it up in detail on this site several years ago. Essentially, the old ones were used for patterns; new marine grade plywood was sandwiched between some 3/16" aluminum sheet, then painted to match the rest of the inside(as close as possible). Not the entire bulkhead was replaced, just the most exterior portion(about 24") or the part that wasn't rotted.

See if you can find my write-up under the boat's name at the time(THREE AMIGOS) Good Luck! Jim Huhta Sturgeon Bay, WI C27TR Hull 4402, 1979 S/V "SEA-130". Same boat different name.
