Sea-casper, do these have any protection on the front of the toes?

Yes the sole wraps to the front of all toes, no protection for dropped objects though.

Bare feet when on the hook, Sebago Mariners with Vibram bottoms are the most non-skid shoes ever.

Rick, I went to the Sebago and was not able to identify the 'mariner' shoe you referenced...please a bit more detail....
