Same Name

I named my Hunter 20 Breezing Up in 1994 for the same reason. I've had the Winslow Homer print since the late 70's. It hangs over the mantel in my living room.

I do agree with not going with your first goofy instinct, or wifey's names. I think my next boat will be 'Nauticalgirl' But then my presant boat 'Caribbean Soul' is a GREAT name. Smooth sailing....

Agreed,

'Row vs. Wade' is brilliant. Thanks to all who shared the names of their vessels - it was a treat to read them. One I thought I'd see is "l'Audace", referring to Napolean's famous remark concerning qualities he desired in his generals. I know there is at least one out there.

Congratulations.....

Whether you intend it or not, Row v Wade is still political, offensive and a very bad pun. If it was that good, and worthy of first place, you shouldn't feel compelled to explain it to us. The truth is, the pun only makes sense because it is connected to the supreme court decision. Therefore, any disclaimer that it is not political is ridiculous. THE POLITICAL REFERENCE IS THE PUN! Then....... consider that violence and murder have been committed in the name of Roe vs. Wade. It addresses the most emotionally devisive issue in our society... and you think it's a cute name for a dingy! Get real, my friend. Oh, by the way, no offense is intended or implied. Other than this one issue I truly appreciate the efforts of this group.

sick, sick, sick

No matter where it's written, or how it's spelled, Row v Wade still immediately brings to mind abortion, ie; infanticide.
