Just adjusted our oil pressure. It was a snap! Looking from the flywheel end of the engine, under the carb and fuel pump on the right side is a nut encapsulating a flat head adjustment screw. Turn it clockwise one full turn and you get a 6 to 7 psi increase in oil pressure. I did it with the engine not running. Did two turns and got the oil pressure(hot engine) from about 23 psi to about 37 psi. Hope someone can use this info.............Jim

Good Job! Question....

What type of wrench/socket did you use to loosen the nut, and how hard was it? Thanks! Rob

Rob (and Others): I used a 19mm deep socket with about a six inch extension and of course a socket wrench; I estimate the adjusting nut had 8 lbs torque on it, and the adjusting screw was snug and proper. And I tightened it to about 15 lbs torque. And I KNEW I forgot to mention thetools used just as soon as I sent the letter! Thanx for the inquiry Rob..........

19 mm

Just a note that 19 mm is 0.748 inches, pretty close to 3/4" which is what it probably is on the US built A4.

Garry......I agree that it is probably a 3/4" and not a 19MM. A friend did the actual nut/screw adjustment( he's thinner than I). But, that's what he used--a 19MM socket. Thanx.
