Anchor Locker 1979 Catalina 27

I need a anchor /chain locker in bow of my 1979 Catalina 27 Standard Rig. There is only a notch with a panel ahead of the V Berth. No bulkhead, no water drain. Who has done this and do you have ideas? Pictures? Drawings? Suggestions?

Any luck with your anchor locker Jim? I have a 75 Cat 27 and would also like to install a locker.

I've seen some photos on the Catalina 27 facebook site where owners have cut a hole and placed a deck pipe for passing the rode into the space in the bow. I assume they also drill a hole into the hull for drainage, but I've not looked in there in a while to recall it there is a fiberglass pan, plywood or whether it can just drain to the bilge.

All. I found a chain locker hatch in a scrap pile from a late model C27. I intend to make a locker insert and will post updates.
