Left post in Hunter Forum. No answers so trying here. Any of you know how to pull out shower faucet and replace in this particular Hunter. Sits on small fiberglass ledge that is integral part of starboard shower panel. No access I can see. Maybe remove adjacent fiberglass forward bulkhead in head?? Thank you for your reply

Welcome to the Forum @blaser1234
I do not have a 35.5 Legend and have not seen the shower set up. Maybe someone here has and will provide insight.

One of the things that really works on this sight is to post pictures of the issue. It gives some of us boaters who have been around a few boats an idea of your problem. We can often suggest an alternative action then to get a saber-saw and start cutting up your expensive and pretty boat.

I do have a 35.5, and I don't know the answer either. I suspect you would have to remove the shower liner panel to get to the back side.

Thank you, but access to faucet mounting and supply lines real issue. Frankly still waiting for Hunter Owner's to reply since unique to this particular boat. Photos really don't help in clarification. Appreciate your reply.

Will look at it again. Can solve with one method but will take a closer look and try to pick path of least destruction to interior. Thank you so much for your reply. Will try and get back to you with
findings.

Two suggestions.
One, I think for about $50 you can call the folks here at SBO and speak for a period of time to a former Hunter Maintenance Specialist. You can PM @Dave Groshong and maybe get a better understanding of the program. I understand the specialist was a supervisor for Hunter manufacturing. Many years experience. That may be a solution to your dilemma.

Second, from the picture provided by @tjar, the panel appears to be two pieces. The upper portion (with the wood holds and shower head) appears to be cover a lower panel. Is that a screw in the lower right corner of the upper panel? If you loosen that can you lift the upper panel out enough to reach up and get access to the bottom of the shower fixture? Additionally the picture shows on the right side a storage area that goes back to the hull. I wonder if there is space behind the shower panel. Can you access that space from the other side of the bulkhead that is to the left of the shower as looking at it in the picture. Since the shower is positioned near the bulkhead there ay be an access point on the other side along the hull.

Good luck

Thank you both for your insights. What is shown in the photo is a horizontal seam. On our boat a piece of teak moulding is located over the same location. It is attached with screws. If there a seam beneath it, then it may come out by cutting out the perimeter panel caulking and prying out. Will try. Appreciation again to you both.

I thought about the caulking. Likely an adhesive maybe silicon.
Why I suggested the possibility of approaching it on the other side of the bulkhead, between the Salon and the head. Upi amy find that the engineer smartly put in a hole to service the shower faucet. Of course the engineer may have been sleeping when someone designed the shower.

Looked at that possibility in the beginning, but between the main panel and other wires using the area as a highway to other areas, simply don't have room to do the deed. Believe that panel in the head was divided to get access to the faucet and supply lines to the shower faucet and other water lines going over to the adjacent basin. Will try. Thanks again for the reply.

Sounds good. I just like to explore all the possibilities when it comes to boat repairs.

I wish you all the best with your challenge.

Marlowe Hunter has no backup for Hunter Marine produced boats. Have been out of production for some time now and no resources available

Most Hunters come with similar shower head faucets.
I have one that the extension hose needs to be replaced, soon.

Not a direct answer to your question, but I intend to repair, rather than replace.

Just like landlubber showers, access behind the wall is tough. Most parts can be replaced.
Jim...

PS: My Hunter full access is a royal pain, but possible to remove the cosmetic "shower stall"

Well, possible if I can get half panel off as hoped. My shower hose is problem as well but since it retracts down into faucet and leak comes up from area around hose probably time to replace entire faucet. Really don't look forward to repeating soon. Shower faucet dates back to 1991-2
