I think that this would be the best way to go for you if you can do it. This way, you could sand blast the keel both inside and out, and later apply a primer and a special paint. I know of at least one guy who had the same issue and painted his keel and keel slot, but I'm not sure if he dropped his keel. I have came back to the keel and what to do with it. It has alot of rust inside and would like to remove it before new centerboard go in. What do you think about unbolting the keel from the boat and working on to it that way? By doing this i will be able to reseal the joint. So has any one done this or have any through about this?![]()
