The project took just over 1/2 sheet of plywood. The assembly is not anchored to the trailer in any way, but cut so that it could be angled in and wedged into place.

The keel to inside notch contact surface is a piece of plastic cut from a 55 gallon drum. This allows the keel to be off center but guided into place with minimal friction. Time will tell how durable it is, but there is a lot of plastic in one drum.

Guide line through hull guide, tightened with ratcheting strap

Front view of notch and guide line. Bunks were 2x4 and replaced with 2x6, and shortened to reach no further forward than front upright. Note where lines are drawn together; this would work better if there was separation so that the centerline of the hull was captured.
