Neat boat, this looks like one of the original Willard built Lancer 30s. You can tell from the swept back keel that is similar to the C&C Mk I...

2. Out goes the YSB12. The boom vang tackle brought the engine straight up, then used the mainsheet tackle to bring the engine back, swung the boom out to drop it on a dolly on the finger pier. Swing the boom slowly or the boat will heel and scare you to death, maybe put the engine in the water!

I won this boat on ebay.Noone seemed to realize the springs had broken until we tried to move her.The hull was full of water and might be why the springs gave way.I drilled a half inch hole in the transom and she drained for a long time. The previous owner thought I was nuts when the first thing I did was put a hole in the hull. This was how we improvised to get her on the road.It was a nervous and slow 230 mile trip home but we made it.

I replaced the tired aluminum ports with some handsome bronze ones handed down from my grandfather.Never thought I'd find the proper use for these but I love how they look.
