Well, Marine Traffic isn't showing their entire track to Portsmouth, Dominica. According to John, they'll be at anchor there for a couple of days.

Interesting. I had my AIS in the whole time and we are right along the coast. We anchored in the bay in front of Portsmouth on the side with the commercial port as that's where customs is located. There were many people waiting but it went fairly fast given the numbers of folk coming in. As i do not have a motorized dinghy, it only cost 15 Caribbean dollars there and another 15 for a mooring fee. I believe if I had a motor on my dinghy it would be more.
Folks here are really nice. Everyone pretty much has said hi. When I've stopped folks to ask questions they have all been really nice answering and going out of their way.
We met a guy that has a house here from Boston. He winters down here. Has a really amazing garden! He pointed us to a place for dinner, they actually only make lunch and we're closing a 5. We got there about 4:30. But they made us a nice dish and let us sit inside eating it until we were done while closing up the store. They also had really good ice cream!
We just got back to the boat and tomorrow morning will look for a better anchorage on the other side of the bay but we are good for tonight.
Tomorrow is Carnaval here! Look out!
