Well, did hear from Andrew at Greenpoint. His price is essentially the same-but that price includes storing for the winter. Not the extra $200-$250 month storage that the other is charging. So, if the wheels weren't already turning I would go with Andrew at Greenpoint. The boat is getting picked up tomorrow morning. Andrew did say the boat is in good shape. The 1 injector he couldn't get out just spun and spun. He also said the motor was on old 2 cyl diesel not worth putting much money into? But with time and fiddling might come free. The deck is solid, the hull has a $15k paint job and its a nice boat. The monthly storage fee will be a big incentive for me to get it down here asap. thanks again for all your help

With all due respect, and as an old Boston South Shore native, let me say that what you have is a "wicked pissah!" boat.
Best of everything to you and the Regal Mystic.

Damn auto spell made me correct every word!
Some might think that was a message from the Ethernet that something is wrong.

Got a call from the owner's widow telling me the boat is gone! She was sobbing. Life is hard

It is what she wanted. A lot of family emotion associated with the boat.

Boats are like that. Thoughts of all the boats in my past still tug at me from time to time.

She couldn't wait for it to be gone, but now the reality is setting in. Hard to go on without your mate.

Yacht Salvage in Mendon has sister company certifiedsales that does marine transportation I used them to haul a 37C hunter from there to South Carolina. They have hydraulic trailers and they set it up on stands in my back yard

Is the Regal Mystic safely set up in Quincy?

Its a Legnos Mystic, not Regal. Safely setup? It is not covered, they want $600 to shrink wrap it. Besides I want to get it down here ASAP. What do you call safely setup?

I just meant on jack stands in a boat yard or such. Yes, I wouldn't bother shrink wrapping her for now. Best to get her on her way ASAP.

So something to consider re shrink wrap or not.

I have no idea what the road trip would be like from where the boat is now to whatever you decide for a destination but if the use of road salt is anything like what happens here in Ontario it’s highly likely the boat will be subjected to a fair amount of “corrosive” liquid during the trip.

Shrink wrap if done correctly could keep that stuff off the areas that are covered. Alternatively you could wash the boat down throughly after arrival paying extra attention to parts such as winches etc where the nasty stuff might have invaded.

I don't know for sure, they use plenty of road salt in NH, but I bet south of Boston, it isn't a big deal.

Definitely wash her thoroughly. Of course, a coastal Florida shower would do a good job of that.
