Boats are expensive, all the way around. If you can't afford a new mast and rigging now how are you ever going to afford to maintain her and have the money for any necessary repairs later?
As said above, there is no such thing as a free boat. Think very carefully about getting into something that you possibly can't really afford. There appears to be some serious mold inside. I'd be cautious about sleeping aboard until you have cleaned that up, as some types can be rather toxic. Get rid of all the inside cushions and bedding.
All that said, she looks like a grand boat, and I wish you well and good sailing.

There is so far only 1 downside. Aft mast needs repaired. Local guy says he can do it but will need replaced if planning to sail in a storm lol.
But no issues with the ending. Witch is 11yrs old kubota with 357hrs. Interior is perfect shape. And everything works. Autopilot. GPS. Depth finder. Everything. Even has good and extra sails!

Your idea of a perfect interior are much different from mineo_O
Follow dlochner's experienced advice and make sure the hull is sound before you spend too much on her.
The price may not be right if you don't have the $$ to make her seaworthy. Just words of caution.

Totally agree. Luckily she was hauled about about 2 yrs ago and had a diver under last year

Fill in the details! The engine looks real clean. Do I count 4 cylinders? What is the model? Is it adequate for the boat? Starting is on thing, does it drive the boat or are you stationary? Are you staying where she lies in the water in Key West? I can imagine that would be quite an expense. Do you have plans to move her someplace economical? How did you come to acquire a boat that is actually floating in the water in an expensive location for no cost? What are the strings attached?

Ok. 4cyl. Kubota from beta maring new in 09. Spotless. Boat is parked behind another boat of mine and mast is hanging down. So I call the city and ask about it. They said yea it broke loose last year and got stuck under a bridge. Here is the owners number. So I call him. We start talking I ask his plans with it and he said at this point it hurts to much to even go see her anymore. So last he was on it was last year. Been paying 400 for mooring every month. Then he says it would be nice just to be clear and not have to pay mooring anymore. So I tell him look Its to nice. I cant take it for free. But i can atleast give you a couple hundred for it. He says.....dont worry about it.


As to the motor... runs. And moves and steers! As she should!. All i have to do is replace the jabsco impeller. Witch he had already bought!

She will be going to anchor at end of the month under her own power. Then it's free. Allows money to start repairs.

Garrison bight. Left side near the front. Right behind a big ugly blue and white trawler. Lol. And in front of the trawler is a beautiful white catamaran. Been out here since friday. No dingy just a paddle board lol
