Does anyone know where I can get the "key" for the fuel cap? Tired of struggling with a screwdriver to open it.

I have a 311

Any boating-type store. Looks just like the fuel cap we had on our motorboat.

Measure the separation of the pins as not all caps are standard and go to any chandlery.

So that you all know, the "key" slot looks like it would accommodate a small winch handle. Star shaped

I looked. Not there. So that you all know, the "key" slot looks like it would accommodate a small winch handle. Star shaped.

Some caps do, indeed, take a winch handle. Give that a try. A pic would help.

On our 343 the star is smaller than the winch handle for the fuel fill cap but the winch handle will fit the water fill caps

Get a piece of square metal bar and grind the end down until it fits. Or maybe a 1/2 inch socket drive? The 3/4 inch drive is just a bit larger than the larger, water/sewage deck plate star drive. I learned about the smaller socket in the fuel fitting the day I bought the boat and we took it to the fuel dock just down the creek from the B dealer. Fortunately, for me, the fuel jockey was well aware of the difference.

I received the "key" yesterday. It is the right part !!! Looks like a miniature winch handle in all stainless without the vertical grip.
