I am! But out of curiosity, why do you say that?

& mine girl is a "Venture 25" she's been around a while. ;-)
Because it's relatively small, and because in your avatar, you state "MacGregor 25", not "Venture 25"?

Oh, I thought there was a reason from the glue carpet fiasco you were saying be glad.
As far as the avatar, id have put venture if it had been an option. It's still a mac 25, just the early model. They dropped "venture" after a few years.

Check it out, Kevin. I just changed my boat to a Venture. ;)

I stand corrected, as does my profile.

There, that's what I did to my mac today. I fixed its description. :)

Today, I missed my boat.

I haven't seen her for almost a month. Stupid busy.

Gotta just say **** it, and take a few days off.

I did this "for" my Mac today. Picked it up for $650. It'll need some new bunks, lights, and winch... but it tracks straight, it's got no "real" rust, 2 solid axles and working surge brakes...
More to come from my work on it
Yeah, it does look like you scored! Your gonna really like the larger trailer with dual axles. Make sure when you build the bunks, use vee bunks, not lengthwise like your trailer has now. The way the Mac hull is constructed bunks running lengthwise can damage the hull. With the larger trailer you have you can also provide additional support. I also picked up an old used trailer and restored it. I made four sets of bunks. The middle two are positioned in the same spot relative to the hull that the OEM trailer had.

Today I rebuilt the bent rear mast support for trailering. Cut off the bent section, slid it into a larger piece of square tubing & welded on pintle brackets. Now what's left of yhe original support adjusts from "traveling height" to "mast stepping height"

Swing arm for Tablet PC

I installed an articulating TV mount to hold my Dell Venue 8 tablet to use with Open CPN as a chart plotter on my boat. I liked this particular mount as it has thumb screws to lock each arm into place when you have it set like you want. Photos do not show the wires that will also be running to the tablet for power and GPS antenna. I like the idea of having an instrument that can multitask as a computer as well. I got a small bluetooth keyboard with touch pad mouse to make it a little more user friendly. When swung inside the cabin it can be used for internet, etc. To attach the tablet to the swing arm, I bought an inexpensive folio cover for the tablet that has a hard molded plastic receptacle that the dell snaps into securely. I removed this from the cover and affixed it to a backing board which then bolted through to the articulating arm. This arrangement holds the tablet quite securely.

Photos below show views of mounted tablet inside cabin and as viewed from the cockpit.

Pop Top Struts and Anchor holder

Today I got a couple more projects completed.

Installed 2" PVC Pipe on bow for anchor storage. Plastic container along side to hold short chain and 100' rope anchor rode.

Installed gas struts for pop top lift and lower assist. Pretty straight forward (though drilling holes in a boat always causes trepidation) following CaGuy's instructions found here on the forum:

85 degrees here in North Florida today, guess I should be out on the water instead of working on projects in my yard.

Today, I beat the heck out of my partially furled genoa.

Went out late morning onto the Sea of Cortez in fabulous conditions, but after a couple hours of smooth sailing, things got boisterous with 12-15+ knot winds and swells of about 3-5 feet. Let's head back in.

Bashed back towards port, hove to outside the entrance and dropped the reefed main.

Rescue boat passed by to check on me. Thanks for caring, guys, we're technically fine.

Gawd, the party boats are enjoying Spring Break. Loud, distorted music and revelers galore.

I put my snow blower away for the year today. Sunday I'm going to go get a boat out of storage to get it ready for chartering. Most of the snow on the ground is gone here. Still ice on the water though. Picture was taken today in Port Bruce, Lake Erie.

I brought a boat home from storage. Now the work continues.
It towed like a dream on the way home.
I went by the lake to check the ice situation. The ice is still there. The water has risen to just above the normal level from being down about 8' a week and a half ago.
Last photo is looking out my back porch.

Justsomeguy, is that a new boat?

We have business visitors from Taiwan so yesterday I took them up to the Colorado Ski country but we had to stop at Lake Dillon Marina where these pictures were taken. I had all of these folks out on the frozen lake which they were not at all comfortable with at first.. (yes it was safe.. 15 inches of good hard ice)

No, she's a 1982.

Lacking ice, we usually take our visitors on some hot and/or dangerous hike in the nearby mountains.

Mac Mac 26D Suwannee
just got back from 3 days at Steinhatchee's Sea Hag Marina, spent 3 days sailing single handed in 15-20kts, 2-3ft seas w/std Jib, no reef, 7+kts on the Gps, and 10-20 degs heeled over all day:dance:
had a few times w/the rail down, caught me off guard,
this storm thats been tracking eastward in the gulf, is what we wait for, otherwise, it's <5kts & seas <1ft all yr unless we have a tropical depression , it's hard to get good winds in the N.E Gulf
what did I do to my Mac 2day?
sailed her;)
