Your solutions to sea water odors in toilet intake?

Have any of you installed a separate water tank to supply fresh water to flush a sea water toilet? Do you add any "deodorizing" or other products to the tank...if so, what? Can you provide a photograph of the installation that includes the plumbing?

If you've re-routed your head intake line to tee into the head sink drain line, can you provide a photograph that shows exactly how you've done it?

Have any of you cobbled up a "one off" reservoir (NOT the Raritan Crown Head reservoir or Flush Water Kit) installed in the flush water supply line on a sea water toilet that you fill with some type of deodorizing or mineral dissolving product ? If so, can you provide a list of the materials you used, your "instructions" for use, and the chemical used...and a photograph?

If you've installed any of these, or can send me to someone who has, I will be very grateful!

I have a very specific need for examples of ONLY these three types of installations, and I'm on a tight deadline, so any help will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Peggy, we use a gallon jug of potable water. Pour it in bowl as needed.

Flush tank on a Hunter 410

Peggy: Attached is the only photo I have readily available of the temporary version of the fresh water tank I installed on my Hunter 410. The boat is on the hard an hour away. The black valve at the bottom of the photo is plumbed into the head intake line. Thus, there is no need to open the intake through hull to use and flush the head. The tank is filled from the shower spray handle. I have since built a starboard box and enclosed the bag tank where it is now. The top of the tank is useable for storage of towels, etc. and the fill fitting pokes out the top as well.

Post edited to add a second picture showing fill fitting.

That's just the kind of thing I was looking for, Mulf. If you can email those to me, and--next time you're on the boat--take a couple in vertical orientation that show the connection to the toilet intake too!

Emailing me is easy: just click on my name to the left of this post, then select email. Don't worry about attaching photos to that one. Attach 'em to your reply to my reply. And thanks!
