A quick email to this vendor should confirm if this will do the trick. The 3QM parts manual agrees with the Yanamr p/n in the link. Maybe worth a try for the price of the ticket. My 3QM has a bad starter solenoid. Yanmar calls it a magnetic switch. I have found a replacement for $220 which seems awfully high to me. I am looking for those of you who have ordered similar Yanmar parts. Is this the going rate?
Thanks for taking the time to send me this link. Today I found out that the part Yanmar matches with the 3QM is not the same as the solonoid I pulled. The yoke attached to the solonoid's cylinder is T shaped, not slotted like the one in this link.A quick email to this vendor should confirm if this will do the trick.
