The most rpms i can get is 2200 and that is after a new bottom job, re-packed shaft, replaced cutlass bearing, replaced mixing elbow, replace air intake filter, checked the throttle linkage and today sent a diver down to check for fouled prop and discovered all is well down below any help out there. No smoke from the exhaust, and no oil leaking. there was a light dusting of soot on the fantail where the water splashed, thanks Guy

Maybe this is a stupid question... but... have you changed your Racor and engine fuel filters? Engine may simply be starved for fuel...

All the usual....

Has been done. I've got to agree with Buck, change the filters, all of them, rebleed and see what happens. OH WAIT...check the cut off lever, make sure it's returning all the way. Look at the front of the engine, assumeing a GM series Yanmar. On the left lower corner above the raw water pump is a small lever, pull the lower end tword you. This returns the cut off to the "run" position. Pat McCartin Inland Marine Diesel Buford, Ga imd_ga@hotmail.com

Fuel Starvation

This has happene to me twice. Both times it has been fuel starvation. Change all of the filters and you should be all set.
