Wiring schematic

Would any of you good people know where to find some type of wiring schematic for a 38 Pearson. A friend of mine has one and stop charging while we were cruising on the Chesapeke last week. I managed to jump the field circuit to keep the house batteries up for him however the field circuit has no current in it.

I believe it is fed from the ign. switch but would like to be sure before I dynamite his panel.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The wiring diagram for the starting and charging circuit should be in the engine operating manual, at least it is for Yanmar engines.

The Pearson owners manual only covers the wiring circuits from the batteries through the main panel.

Pearson 36-2 Manual

I purchased a P36-2 last fall. It did not have an owner's manual and I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get my hands on one.

The drawings from the manual are on the web here:

Beyond this, you will need someone to copy the book for you. I have the book but it will take a lot to copy it as I do not have access to a free copy machine.

In my openion there is not much usefull information in the book. The drawings are the usefull stuff.
