In the spring, I purchased a 27' Catalina (our first boat!). Now at the end of the season, I need to move and store her. I have found a marina that charges $10 per foot to haul out and $13 per foot for storage. Are these rate reasonable? Also, the marina said I must bring my own stands/straps(?...does someone know the number and size I should order? Finally, does anyone have a list of suggestions for winterizing? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks...Steve1

Steve 1. join the C27 Association, and get familiar with their website 2. check with your dock mates about local information and good guys, bad guys and prices 3. check the archives and other web sources for "winterizing." You didn't mention what kind of engine, different, obviously, for inboard diesels and A4s, vs. an outboard. Good luck, hope you enjoyed the season. Stu

Haul out sounds high
The haul out charge seems high. I usually pay one hundred out, one hundred in for my Catalina 27. I can't comment on the storeage charge as I have my boat in the water full time.

Depending on what you get
the $23.00 / foot is reasonable. I'm paying $26.00 / foot in Michigan. This includes haulout and pressure washing the bottom in the fall, storage with the mast up on my cradle in a fenced (not particularlu secure) lot for the winter, re-launch in the spring, and storage of my cradle through the summer. If your $23.00 / foot includes all of that, you are getting a reasonable deal. Steve Alchemist C-320 Holland MI
