Another solution

Try this web site :www.catalina30.com/TechLib/faq.htm There is an article on your leaking windows. It's the International Catalina 30 Association. Hope it works. You can get the replacement rubber seals at Catalina Parts Direct, also on line.

Sealing Leaks

If your window is leaking between the frame and the boat, your leak will appear to be dripping from the bottom of the frame in the cabin. If this is the case, remove frame and clean frame and cabin side REAL good , apply silicone sealer...rock and roll. If the leak is between the frame and the glass, the leak will appearto be comming from the black moulding inside the frame in the cabin. In other words , the black rubber strip wil be wet. If this is the case.....take a razor knife on the outside of the boat and lay blade close to glass and press downward to force blade along inside of frame. then tahe the blade on the outside of the old sealand cut in at an angle. You are trying to remove the old sealer. It should now copme out pretty much in a strip. You now have created a "hollow " along the frame, and clean this REAL well. I have tried every technique possible to get the new silicone sealer in this crack and believe it or not the easiest way for me was to wet my finger so the silicone wont stick to it. Then from the tube i put the sealer on my index finger and gently pushed into the crack while following around the frame...it takes a few layers to build it to the point where it is full, but it really dont take that long. I found thatthis works for me real well with no mess. PS...bu the silicone at an automobile glass supplier. GOOD LUCK
