In any event, I recommend going to the source for the most accurate answer.
And miss out on all the fun of everyone arguing that they are right? Killjoy.

Our 'trailerable' with the same transducer, we run the bare wire out of the mastbase and thru the deck with a compression fitting. We connect the two wires below in a small sealed box with a euro-style wire connector. You can get them everywhere. Its what Raymarine recommends; even on big boats you still drop the mast occasionally, and need a way to disconnect the wire. Thats bow the bigger 367 is set up.

Hmmm, I was thinking he needed to plug the cable in to the transducer. But perhaps he was trying to disconnect the cable between mast and deck. There's quite a few options... most trailer sailors will use a water proof pin connector... so all he needs to know is how many wires are in the cable and get a connector with the appropriate number of pins.

Good point. On Raymarine units there are 6 wires to connect. If you can find a waterproof 6-pin connector for that, I agree that would be faster for a boat that is always trailer sailed.

5-pin and up is more difficult to find, .... I'll leave it to HD74 to count his own wires. heh, heh.
