Good point. On Raymarine units there are 6 wires to connect. If you can find a waterproof 6-pin connector for that, I agree that would be faster for a boat that is always trailer sailed.Hmmm, I was thinking he needed to plug the cable in to the transducer. But perhaps he was trying to disconnect the cable between mast and deck. There's quite a few options... most trailer sailors will use a water proof pin connector... so all he needs to know is how many wires are in the cable and get a connector with the appropriate number of pins.
