I was wondering how many people here have a website or blog about their sailboat. I am looking for websites that were created by owners. Mainly websites consisting of refits, repairs, modifications, and building.
I have created a website where I am listing websites about particular sailboat that have information on repairing the boat. I wanted to create a place where people who were working on their sailboat could go and hopefully find where someone has documented the work on the same boat that they are going to be working on. I myself have had to do the regular maintenance on my sailboat but I have also restored a few older sailboats and I have always had trouble finding good informaiton online. Often times I would find it but it would take me hours to do so. So with my website I have searched the internet and tried to find as much informaiton as I could I have put all in one place, Sailing and Such.
The website already has alot of good info and links to excellent websites but I am still looking to add as much as I can. So if you have a website or know of one that needs recognition please let me know.
There are also alot of good articles that I have found that deal with a specific project on any given sailboat. I have tried to only have the best and most thorough articles listed.
If you are working on a sailboat or wondering what it will take to accomplish that next project then head on over to www.sailingandsuch.com and check it out, you may find a website about your very boat.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Scott - I tried to view your myspace but it seems like there was to many pictures or videos on it, because I couldn't even scroll down very far. I think my computer was just being overloaded. My computer isn't very old though and it is very fast. Would you consider making another webpage with a free hosting service or even a blog? I would rather have the links on the webiste lead to a more real website, not just someone's myspace page. Do you understand what I mean? I hope so.
Make a website and get back to me.

George - Wow, that H260 website looks great. I was actually searching for a H260 website this morning to add to the list but couldn't find one. Thanks for letting me know about it. Before I purchased my Watkins 29 I was seriously considering a H260, they are great looking boats. I will definately add that site to Sailing and Such. Is that your website by the way?

Brian - Looks like a nice website. Your right it doesn't have any repairs or anything like that but it is put together nicely. In the future I may have add a section to Sailing and Such that has just sailboat webpages. If I do, I will try to refer back to this thread and let you know, I would be glad to add it to that section. By the way, the cabin looks fabulous for a '85.

I was rejected! Is there some kind of appeal process? How am I going to explain this to my friends and family?

I was able to get into

Scott's My Space. Looks really good, takes a while to load up, you need a high capacity hi speed system with lots of RAM, there are lots of fantastic pics there. The engine looks beautiful, and there are some other beautiful pictures there as well :D, very worth the time to view. Nice job Scott! Also, Brian, and George, your sites both are very nice. I like looking at others boats. Prime Time, I couldn't get into yours, something to do with my pop up blocker, I'll have to look at my security settings to see if I can move around there, I keep a real tight security watch on my system and if there are information gathering systems in effect, my software stops me, so I couldn't look around much there. What I saw was nice though.

My site is here.

I think one of the best sites I have visited is Maine Sail's. He has put some time into his. The pictures are supreme and then there are all his well documented, photo enhanced articles on how to do just about anything. I have spent maybe 30 to 40 hours in there looking around and reading his how to articles:)

Sailingandsuch, I'm going to have to spend some time in your's to asorb all of it, looks very intense and like something I'll be able to spend some leisure time visiting. From what I have seen thus far, it may be very informative.

thanks, nice thread:)

IT Master - I couldn't seem to get to your website. Would you mind posting another link to it?

Allan - Yours looks pretty good I must say, beautiful boat. By the way, how long have you had that carpet in the boat? Would your recommend it? Does it soak up moisture and mildew? I will add yours soon.

What I meant sailingandsuch is here, this site is my site. I just have my pics posted here on my profile page. I haven't set up a website. I haven't rebuilt my boat or anything, so I just use this site to post the pics that I have taken of being on the water ;)

Rick - Your website is interesting, the projects are well illistrated and have good descriptions. I have added it on the Modifications page.

Jerry - That Precision really is quite beautiful in that picture on your homepage. It really looks like a larger boat than a 23'. I have always liked the Precisions though, just a great looking boat. I like your website but I do not think it will fit on the pages that I am creating at the moment, which are documented projects. I did see your photos of the projects that you did on your boat, but I am aiming more for a step-by-step like approach at the moment.
I may in the future create a section that has just owner's websites. If that time comes I will try to refer back to this thread and get your website, it is a good one.

BTW, My father raced dirt track simular to you. Although it was before I was born.
