Ablative?
Gib, if you plan to bottom paint, you may want to think about a hard Trinidad finish, instead of ablative. In your area a Trinidad paint will last you many, many years. Ablative will build up, flake off in spots, and create an annual paint job/sanding task for you. If you use hard Trinidad paint, you'll only need to polish (light sand) the bottom to restore the antifouling properties (remove oxidation) each spring, and not have the ablative build up. If you use Trinidad hard paint, you likely wouldn't have to repaint for 6 years, just polish every spring and splash! Just a thought, look into Trinidad SR Gib.
