Air in aft cabin
we installed a Cruisair 12k BTU unit in the aft cabin suspended from the overhead in the port corner. This is not your every day installation, but we did not want to take up any room otherwise used. It takes little from the aft cabin. Ductwork runs forward and exhausts just above and below the chart table. We had planned on a second 5k unit for the forward cabin, but never got around to it as the 12k unit was adequate when assisted by the cabin fan. Because we would never use the engine and air at the same time, I used a 3-way valve on the engine water intake, put the sewater pump under the aft berth and dumped the sewater into the hose used by the port cockpit scupper. No new thruhulls. It works great, and the noise is away form the main and forward cabin.
