They're my ladder's rubber stoppers that protect the boat when the ladder is down. Haven't been able to find these possibly because I'm calling them by the wrong name? I wouldn't think they would only be sold at sailboat supply places; would probably be cheaper elsewhere. Thanks so much for the help.

I buy mine at Lowes or Home Depot. I think they are called rubber chair feet, but they work fine.

Be sure to measure, these are available in a couple sizes.

They are about $3 for a package of four.

Instead of just the ladder's tube pressing on the rubber foot, put a washer in the foot so as to increase the bearing surface of the stainless tube.

If you don't find what you need in the rubber chair feet, look in health supplies for replacement rubber feet for walkers and canes- they may be a little tougher for outdoor use. -Paul

Pretty sure they are 1" for the 27. Definitely by them at a hardware store, I made the mistake of buying the "marine" version at West Marine for a high price, they lasted about half the season and dried out and disintegrated. The next set I got at a Home Depot and they've lasted a few years, I only had to replace one cause it fell off!

Standard crutch feet would also work, but would be a bit larger and heavier...but far more durable. Using the washer as an insert helps a lot too.

To add to the info, I use a couple of turns of white self vulcanizing rigging tape to hold mine in place so they don't drop off.

I got mine at Home Depot, but instead of the rubber feet, I bought the plastic ones. They don't crack like the ruber and last much longer.

Thanks for the tips guys. When I bought my boat it had marks in the transom already from the ladder. I replaced the rubber feet last year and they are pretty bad already. I will try the washers, but another tip from the medical side of things is to use tennis balls (cut a slit and slip them on)...they used they all the time on the feet of walkers (Wife's a PT)...but your boat will look a little funny ;-)
