If you guys get caught short for a source, send me a foot-long piece of your favorite machinable plastic material in the appropriate diameter along with some more accurate dimensions, or a sample piece to copy. I can spin down what you need. It's not a big deal.

I'd personally reinforce my stanchions/service the fiberglass underneath the fittings before installing those leads depending on what boat you've got.

Thanks for the offer Jim. I'll keep that in mind and will continue to look.

Hmm, so my need will put additional profits in Al's hands, AND you used my picture in the ad, so let's see - we've got the royalties on, say, the first 50 units sold, we've got the one-time licensing fee to be able to use the picture, we've got the daily rental fee for actually using the picture, we've got the one-time penalty for not getting permission to use the picture beforehand, the additional penalty for not getting said permission in writing, so that comes to, 50 times that, plus that, carry the two, plus that - aw heck, this is getting complicated. Let's just figger' we're even steven if you send me three of those puppies. I'll pick up the shipping if ya send it in one of those newfangled $4.95 all-you-can-pack-in-it boxes they got down ta' the Post Office. Sounds fair, right?

I am sure like Facebook there is something in the SailboatOwners.com EULA(end user license agreement) ie: Forum Terms of Use that grants ownership, and permits such usage ;)

@SBO Police Bot Didn't actually post that, but it was the only way to tag it as a quote from SBO.

Did the OP ever find replacements? I noticed this weekend that some of mine have flat spots from the line.
Facnor markets a twin fairlead but it looks expensive. I would need 3.

@Justin_NSA - I did not so much find replacements as construct them out of some parts I found at Home Depot. I don't think I took pictures, and we sold the boat at the end of 2018, but here is what I remember.

The parts are in the hardware section, in some of those big cabinets with lots of drawers that have miscellaneous small parts that are NOT fasteners. (I know that sounds stupid, but in my store they were across the aisle from the fastener selection). I ended up buying a plastic (or teflon?) sleeve bushing of an outside diameter that I felt was appropriate (with an ID that wouldn't rattle around on the spindle), and a pair of plastic (or teflon) flat washers, one for each side of the sleeve. So what I created looked kind of like a really small white plastic cable spool that they wind long runs of cable on. Or if you prefer, an empty spool of sewing thread, with deeper "edges" (the washers).

I think I spent less than $3 for the parts that let me make three replacement items. The fourth copy of the original was in good shape, so I let it be.

I hope this makes sense. If not, shoot me a PM.

Edit: I have confirmed that I do not have a picture. My wife seems to recall that instead of being a straight sleeve, the part we bought for the middle did have some "hourglass" shape to it, like the original fairlead. Being a lot younger than I am, she has a better memory, so she is likely right. I may look at the HD website tonight to see if I can steer you in the right direction. It sure was a cheap, and very successful fix.

Edit 2: The proper term is not sleeve, but bushing. Something like this, and I guess they were nylon (hey it ends like teflon!):

And it could have been Lowes, not HD. Hope this helps. The nylon washers were in an adjacent drawer, so once I found the area, it was just a question of what sizes worked best.

Looks like a drawer guide for the center rail??? Otherwise, look in the beauty supplies aisle. Remember "Spoolies" ?

It may have been in a section related to cabinet hardware, but I'm thinking not, just close by. I had extras, but they are on the boat, which I no longer own.

I just went back to that link on SBO and it now says unavailable which is strange because it worked this morning. I Got my set from Garhauer and they worked great.

I had problems with ordering them from SBO today. Phil sent me this email -

Bad news here, the part was discontinued. It was made by Hood so you may be able to find one through them at Home
If they can't help there's an outfit in Port Townsend, WA, called Zephyr Werks that fabricates beautiful fairleads and sheaves for a rerasonable price. Not cheap, but fair.
Sorry we couldn't be of more help.

Will do. Any info that I need to give them from your service? I.e. Dimensions etc.
Nope. I just told them that had a Hood 810 LD and needed replacement sheaves for the double line fairleads. The most you might need is a photo.
