I'll be renaming my "new" Cal 2-27 pretty soon, I just don't care for the name that's on it now. Probably going to Greek mythology for a name to be announce later but I'm holding a couple in reserve just in case the new boat turns into a money pit, either "Event Horizon" or "Singularity"

My first boat- Second Wind. Bought from a lady that had started over at a time I had started over. Seemed so appropriate at the time.
Many years later my current boat Mauru 'Uru which is polynesian for thank you or thankfullness. Also appropriate to the times!

i was gonna go with current sea on one of mine, has a deep philosophical connection to the way the wife and i are living our lives aboard. exchange rate also made an appearance. my favorite tho was a guy that had a bunch of boats in his yard and a few down in the water on the bayou he lived on, he flips boats for a living and every single one he gets is promptly renamed jenny......he has a whole fleet......

Our boat came with a flag blue hull and a gold accent stripe just under the gunwale. My wife thought of the perfect name. Since I am a retired navy pilot and wear the aviator's gold wings, she suggested "Wings of Gold". When hailing a marina with our boat's name several times I have heard the reply, " you must be a sailboat".
