Hadn't noticed that before. What ARE those wheels connected to, anyways?
Also, like Parsons, I use the tabs more downwind than up. Especially when I have a novice at the helm, like when teaching. That boom can put a hurtin' on yer noggin.

Yes, boat lifts ... it's the best way to keep the bottom of your tournament ski boat or Wake Setter clean. I see sailboats on lifts, too, on Lake Hopatcong.
Smith Mountain Lake has quite a few sailboat lifts.....actually most of the docks at SML have boat lifts as well... not so much about the bottom cleanliness but more to do with the jet skis and power boats who just won't respect no wake zones.
The pic for my avatar is my dock... it is in a small cove. One year a guy on a jet ski came into the cove and then started running in circles to build up a huge wake to jump. Luckily I was out in the yard and able to get to my boat and fend off before the boat smashed up on the pilings. I watched him then park his jet ski on the opposite shore... I was in a hot and stupid state of mind.... so I got in my boat and went over for a chat. Luckily for us both, he backed down and apologized.

The J/22, J/24, & some of the S2 7.9 fleets use boat lifts to keep the growth off of their boats as they do not use bottom paint as it adds drag and weight. Far fromOh...I thought it was the 3 wheels that don't appear to be connected to boats...

Nothing is wrong with the picture. It is a fine quality picture. I doubt it will be framed and hanging on my wall anytime soon though.
