I hope they're better at brewing beer than tying knots. But at $10.49 a six pack I won't be the one to find out!

p.s. I thought I had proofread this before posting. Why can't I edit the headline? Aaaarrrrggghhhh!

Re: What's wring with this picture?

If a little wind kicks up it's going to take at least a 6-pack to get that mess untied.

Silly sailor, that is how to properly tie that knot AFTER one has had one bottle of beer.

Interesting, frog.

Where the hell do you find these treasures?

What is truly AMAZING is that the knot is just a cow hitch over the horns of a dock cleat WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE CLEAT like most dumb new boaters do.

Man, I see it all the time and it makes me gag!!!

Great idea Stu: though I am not a big fan of summer shandy. Beggers can't be choosers: Cheers on you Kermy!

It's hard to tell but a cow hitch with a figure 8 twist on the right. I'd try it but my boat isn't in the water yet. Seems like it would constrict tight , maybe hard to get loose quickly. I'll check my knots books.

$10 doesn't even buy lunch these days ... I'd give it a try. But I like Leine's summer shandy best so far. I also like Leine's orange shandy ... I guess I just like citrus in my beer. It all started with Corona.

I'm picky that beer MUST come from a bottle, not a can. Not picky about the knot, though. It looks fine to me.

I found it at the local Food Lion. They sometimes have good beer prices. I'd love to send everyone a bottle, but I think I'd rather we all meet somewhere and have a tasting. (Sometimes it takes an entire 6-pack to *truly* get a taste for what the beer tastes like.) And thanks for the compliment!

I've gone from being a beer redneck to a beer snob and now a beer realist. (Same as coffee.) I grew up loving Miller beer and a Snickers bar together then when Coors became available in this part of the country I switched to that. Then I found it was easier to buy Coors Light since my First Mate liked that better. But then I started wondering why people liked beer so much. It just kinda lost its appeal to me. Then I discovered Blue Moon and wheat beers in general. I *ALWAYS* pour my beer into a drinking vessel of some sort. I have found Blue Moon in cans and buy that since cans fit in coolers better. Green's Discount Beverages in Columbia, SC has the best prices I've ever found. Blue Moon is always $10.99 a 12-pack. They also had Sam Adams Cold Snap 12-packs for $9.99 a 12-pack in bottles. I've come to realize it's best to buy what I like at the best price I can find and drink if from a cup, a glass or a Tervis tumbler. Oh, I love having an orange slice in my Blue Moon but really it doesn't matter. Blue Moon is good regardless.

And I always tie my own boat.
