Just kidding, I like it, too, but mainly because Sue thinks it's OK. She doesn't like any beer that tastes like fruit or berries or apples or all that stuff that they spice it up with now. She'll drink Leine's sunset wheat or honey weiss. Coors (not lite)... there is a sentimental favorite of mine. Leinenkugel is my fav cause it reminds me of summer vacations in northern Wisconsin. I didn't drink beer then, obviously, but that's what they served all the adults when we sat down for meals. Cheap back in the 60's, but almost $10 per 6-pack now, I think. I don't buy enough beer to notice the price. I eat a $10 lunch far more often then I buy a $10 6-pack.I've gone from being a beer redneck to a beer snob and now a beer realist. (Same as coffee.) I grew up loving Miller beer and a Snickers bar together then when Coors became available in this part of the country I switched to that. Then I found it was easier to buy Coors Light since my First Mate liked that better. But then I started wondering why people liked beer so much. It just kinda lost its appeal to me. Then I discovered Blue Moon and wheat beers in general. I *ALWAYS* pour my beer into a drinking vessel of some sort. I have found Blue Moon in cans and buy that since cans fit in coolers better. Green's Discount Beverages in Columbia, SC has the best prices I've ever found. Blue Moon is always $10.99 a 12-pack. They also had Sam Adams Cold Snap 12-packs for $9.99 a 12-pack in bottles. I've come to realize it's best to buy what I like at the best price I can find and drink if from a cup, a glass or a Tervis tumbler. Oh, I love having an orange slice in my Blue Moon but really it doesn't matter. Blue Moon is good regardless.
+1 for Blue Moon... blue label=Belgian White. but if you like a strong bitter beer, this one aint for you because its a bit sweet and smooth without the after taste.Blue Moon is good regardless.
actually Kermit avocado on butter toast is quite good ...tried it in australia about 10 years ago along with bbq ed roo sausage ummmm tastyI'd like IPA and hops in general if it weren't so bitter. Wait... That's like saying I'd like guacamole if they wouldn't put avocado in it.
Did you try Vegemite? I had some in New Zealand and just plain couldn't eat it. I swear it tastes like a combination of axle grease, road tar and nasty stuff.actually Kermit avocado on butter toast is quite good ...tried it in australia about 10 years ago along with bbq ed roo sausage ummmm tasty
yea, them darned avocados can sure ruin a good guacamole, cant they!I'd like IPA and hops in general if it weren't so bitter. Wait... That's like saying I'd like guacamole if they wouldn't put avocado in it.

Ah, soooo many craft breweries, so little time to try them all. Saint Arnold's, Karbach, Middleton, Pedernales, Shiner, New Braunfels Brewing Company, Faust Hotel and Brewery, Real Ale, Twisted X and a host of other breweries. I've become a beer snob. I only drink Texas beer. Shiner makes a bock beer and a BLACK bock. Their White Wing rates right up there with Hoegaarden. All y'all in Texas who like Hefeweizen are lucky to have the Pedernales Brewing Co. If you like Hefeweizen, I suggest you try it. Dang it's good! We can't get it here in SC.
Right on! have a 6-pack in the fridge right now!Oh well, I guess I'll have to go back to drinking an AUTHENTIC sailing beer...Landshark.![]()
