Hi again all, the caption writer here with some more info. This isn't definitive by any means, but the photographer reported: "The photo was taken with a Panasonic GH2 equipped with a 14-140mm zoom lens. The GH2 is micro four thirds camera with 16 mega pixels. Its small size, light weight and good optical image stabilization make it well suited for use aboard a moving boat."
All the best,

@Michael Robertson, we are doing what we do best here, bicker about absolutely nothing worth bickering about. LOL Anyway, the EXIF data on the image will tell you (or us) about the lens used and its focal length, shutter speed, ISO, and aperature. But that really is irrelevant.

I see you joined I guess for the comments about the image. Well, stick around. It is good to have the power players on board. And like I said, we like to have fun here.

Thanks Brian. Yes, joined to jump into this thread, but I'm enjoying being here. I appreciate that you all have taken such an interest in the cover. My hand is going to be shaking when I write the caption for our July cover photo...
By the way, if anyone here has a hi-res photo of regular folks enjoying regular boats that they'd like me to consider for a future cover, send it my way: michael_r@goodoldboat.com. I just might buy it.

Michael,

Not to worry, by the time you write the next caption we'll all be busy sailing and won't have time to notice.

Now, next fall, it could be an issue and next spring? Just sayin'

Hey @Michael Robertson , thanks for taking this all in stride! ;-)

It's a great photo. I'm just a bit of a trim freak, and use opportunities like that to get other sailors to always be thinking about trim!

I know Karen and Jerry; I've seen them on Mystic in the Apostles from time to time, and have also had dinner with them at a mutual friends house who I think you also know because he does illustrations for GOB.. RickB. Small world, good times!
