A professional remediation specialist can use one that can generate enough ozone to do it, but if you're asking about a retail ozone generator, they're just very expensive air fresheners because they don't generate enough ozone to kill the spores that generate odors. Odor returns after they're turned off. Running one continuously is a bad idea because even low levels of ozone are corrosive and highly destructive to rubber. Either would cost a lot more than a gallon of PureAyre. If after a hard clean the smell is still there... I wonder if shutting the boat up with an ozone generator would help
They're also terrible for humans! I woke up one night unable to breath until I moved away from the ionizer. I'm told this is what it's like to have asthma.they don't generate enough ozone to kill the spores that generate odors.
Try "Formula B" (https://sail-delmarva.blogspot.com/search?q=formula+b) I had a mildew/mold problem and spray every nook and cranny I could find with Formula B. It worked. Because the areas were large and difficult to access, I used a pump srayer. Spray it on and let it dry. It kills the mold and prevents it from returning. They're also terrible for humans! I have a 19 footer that has mold growing all over the cabin. Would a consumer grade ozone generator be too weak to do anything if it's left in there for a month?
Dude.... you never want to be in a closed room with an ozone generator. They're also terrible for humans! I woke up one night unable to breath until I moved away from the ionizer. I'm told this is what it's like to have asthma.

I know I found that out the hard way! They have one built into the lunchroom at work. Hence one more reason to not eat there...Dude.... you never want to be in a closed room with an ozone generator.
I ended up buying a gallon of Wet and Forget. I'll try to get out there this week to give it a try. Two Boats=Too many problemsTry "Formula B"
