Has already happened in Salem Harbor
I'd so the same as last time. The overtaking boat must steer clear!!Really a "funny as all getout" story. I had only been sailing in Salem Sound about a year, and my bride said to me, I think that lady wants you toget oput of the way. Turning to my starboard aft quarter, I see this somewhat larger boat, with a lady standing in the bow, waving for me to clear the way for their sailboat. Sensing she hadn't aclue what "her" helmsman was about to do, I remained the standon, blew the air horn 5 times and hope they didn't have their diesel running. Sure enough, the helmsman steered clear of my position. On the flip side, if it indeed the was boat similar to mine, most of them would not have been in the same conditions I might be.Bob
