Keeping my head down low in Southeast Asian Wargames we got second place in, trying to keep the leeches off my waterlogged butt, fighting jungle rot, swatting mosquitoes, trying to stay alive, which I managed to do. E Troop, 17th Cav, 173rd Airborne Brigade. Central Highlands, lovely place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. What were you up to then Joe?

Before Joe Pa? OMG! You must have been there when rock music started by banging two rocks together! The Blue Band was just the rock banger! There would be no "Stand Up Joe" at the Creamery--in fact the Creamery was just a cow in the field. Before Joe Pa? OMG! :D

USMC training on helicopters. Choose my duty station based on availability of sailing.

I was at New River Air Station in NC which had a great little marina with sailboats to rent. Back then it was $6 half day or $10 for all day sailing a O'day 17.

At 18. I was a freshman at San Diego State, trying to fit school into my surfing schedule... military service came a few years later.
