I'm wondering what anti fouling products others are using on bronze props/shafts and how effective they are. Also, does anyone have any experience with Henley's grease, a Lanolin product?

eh...bare prop and shaft here :)

Try a search in the archive. It might be faster. I know there have been discussions about this before.

Modified Epoxy

Gaspare, A few people asked this question recently on the "ask all sailors" web site. Basically, stay away from applying ablative paint on props & shafts. It washes away too quickly. A modified epoxy would be a good choice like Interlux "Bottomkote". If I don't paint my prop & shaft I get a LOT of hard growth that really hurts boat speed. Try the bottomkote & see how it works. Read the directions. you may need to add a primer coat depending on what type of metal you're painting. Good Luck! Allen Schweitzer s/v Falstaff C-30 Hull# 632
