Modified Epoxy
Gaspare,A few people asked this question recently on the "ask all sailors" web site. Basically, stay away from applying ablative paint on props & shafts. It washes away too quickly. A modified epoxy would be a good choice like Interlux "Bottomkote".If I don't paint my prop & shaft I get a LOT of hard growth that really hurts boat speed. Try the bottomkote & see how it works. Read the directions. you may need to add a primer coat depending on what type of metal you're painting.Good Luck!Allen Schweitzers/v FalstaffC-30 Hull# 632
