westerbeke b30 vibrations @low revs

As newbie I need advice from those experienced guys!"
My B361 westerbeke 1650hrs vibrates severely at below 900 n smooths out instantly above 900-1000.
Can or should idling be set at 900 and above?

Will work. May be hard on your transmission in the long run. Why not just move the throttle up in neutral, throttle down to shift, throttle up in gear?

The idle speed range for the Westerbeke 20B Two and 30B Three are 1000-1200 RPM. Any lower than 1000 and you can run a higher risk of damper plate damage...

I can confirm what Maine Sail says. I had this same concern a couple months ago with my new-to-me B361. If you look at the Westerbeke manual, it shows an idle speed setting of 1,000 - 1,200.
