I just joined the group. I have sailed off and on for about 20 years and I am just getting back into it. Bought a 26 One Design last week REAL CHEAP. It's missing the rudder but everything else checks out fine. The boat has zero modifications so it makes me think it probably hasn't been used a lot. I have a rudder ready to install but it's not a Pearson rudder. It came off a Catalina 28 and has been cut down, glassed, faired and sealed with epoxy. New anti fouling going on next week and then the install with new bushings and collar. I can't think of any reason why it won't work pretty good. Any thought?
