I had a Raymarine ST4000 wheel autopilot installed on my 1990 Hunter 30. The autopilot exhibits the following weird behavior when I try to engage it. It turns off (as if it resets itself), then displays a diagnostic message "5000 SAIL" which is not mentioned anywhere in the manual, and then it reverts to standby mode. All along, the drive unit remains motionless and silent. I am trying to get in touch with Raymarine to find out what in the world is wrong with the darn thing, but I thought to ask here in the forum just in case someone else encounted the same behavior.
