It's killing me already.......I know that I'll enjoy the refurb process......but it's going to take longer than I would wish. I just got my motor mount......still waiting on epoxy. With the holiday weekend upon us, how about some motivational pics of what I (hope I'll) be doing later in the summer?

Anyone sailing this weekend?

My marina is replacing all of the docks, so we are late getting in this year. They called on Thursday to say I could launch this weekend, but I procrastinated a little finishing up some projects (new SS shaft, compounding the hull, etc.).

Got out today to finish up the Mechanical check list, finished the hull so it is ready for wax this week, and cleaned up the cabin some (a mess of tools from my projects).

Launching in a week, can't wait!

Photos of
1) my new ride to the marina with Tally Ho in the background
2) polished hull before wax
3) a "before" shot of the hull. Left side was polished, right side was what she looked like before I started.

Crisp: I LOVE the canvas colors! Sweet choice!

Jack: you're the leader of the actual photo contest! Love it.

Bill: I covet your spinnaker! ❤

Greg: CONGRATS! I hope to be in your shoes......soon!

PC: imma goin to the mall for those.......if I can't sail this weekend, I'll finish my epoxy prep days with some cheap-ish single malt and feel "salty" by sitting in the cockpit alongside my house! Inspirational indeed!

Thanks guys. Enjoy your weekend!

No sailing for me this weekend. :(

I just got word from the Admiral that we might actually get a few-day cruise in the next couple weeks though. So for now, I'll join your fleet of "yard sailors", sippin' a drink in the driveway and daydreaming ...

The Batman spinnaker isn't mine, we just see it on the bay a lot.
Here's a photo from yesterday. We'll be back out on the bay today.
We were supposed to go Monday, too. But, the weather forecast isn't looking great.

Here's a photo from Sunday on the bay. Monday wasn't as rainy as forecast. Could've got out a third day in a row if I hadn't listened to the doom and gloom weathermen.

Lifelines permanently off?
Not perminently. Sanction bases still there. I Take sanctions off during winter ... as they interfear with cover.
Decided i like not having them...easier to dock solo and board boat. I sail in protected waters where i could make it to shore if i go overboard. Ill put them back on for any coastal trips.

Im seriously considering the idea of plugging the holes and leaving mine off forever. @24 little leaks on each rail forever sealed.......and all mine appear likely to do is trip me as I fall over their "sturdy" @20" protective embrace.....
