OK, it's not Wednesday but....

The Dismal Swamp isn’t dismal. The open water shots are from the Pasquatank River just south of the canal and part of the Dismal Swamp, probably the most beautiful place we enjoyed in the trip north. IMHO The truth is New England is the most beautiful, and the best cruising ground of the US East Coast and Bahamas. (But the Bahamas water is truly the best).
You know you're cruising in the PNW, with scenes like this...
A friend of mine recently bought this Ta Shing Baba 30 and moved it to Haleiwa Harbor. It needs some work, but he is more than eager to do it .

It's not Wednesday but this picture popped up on my screensaver slide show so I thought y'all would get a kick out of it.
Sailing on Lake Texoma October 2004. The sailboat has an trolling motor for a kicker but unfortunately also has a dead battery. Yours truly rows his dinghy out and pushes the sailboat back into the anchorage. What is that? Maybe a 1/4 HP motor in the dinghy? Thank goodness there was no wind in the cove.

I was out for a few days on the hook, and I was invited to dinner by a friend who lives on the beach on Lake Michigan…I said sure, but I don’t have a dingy to get to shore. So they ferried a kayak out to me so I could get to shore and dinner.

Tough low light conditions for a cell phone, but this was moon rise over the Horse Farm Anchorage, Magothy River last week.
