We worked on the boat this last weekend. I cleaned the hull and tried to use rubbing compound on it. The rubbing compound looked like rouge (red). The hull just sucked it up so fast. I had a hard time rubbing it off. Next we tried a "cleaning wax." It worked better but it was "uneven." (See photo) This boat hasn't been waxed in years. It's very oxidized. I'm not going for perfect but I'd like it to be pretty uniform. What should I be doing different? Thanks for any thoughts.
