I need to get my water temp gage re-calibrated. I took it out of the lower panel on my pedistal. I have a 2004 320. The gage itself has no indication as to who made it. Secondly, maybe I don't need the builder if anyone knows where I can get it calibrated. I'm located in Toms River, NJ.

Thanks,

Mike T.

Mike, I don't understand the need for calibration. Have you been having problems with it? Most of the OEM Seaward panel gauges are made by Teleflex. They have a great website. Your gauge should work as long as it's connected to the sensor, and those things usually don't' get adjusted. It's not like a barometer.:):):)

the engine has been overheating. I had it checked out and we changed a few things but the repair man put a temp gun on the engine and said the engine was at about 170 degrees while the gage read about 182.

The temp gauge is reading the coolant temperature. The engine housing could well be a different temperature. If you're overheating, check your HX, thermostat and raw water impeller first. I really don't think you have an issue with your gauge at all.

Nice boat, but what engine do you have? Just 'cuz you have a nice C320 is like saying: "I have a Dodge." Sure, but a slant six or a Hemi engine? Big difference, eh?
