Can anyone tell me where the water pump is located on my 1980 Cheribini?

What engine do you have? Then I can look at my manuals for the various Yanmar models. Hunter did vary the engines. Depending if you have a strictly raw water (sea water cooling only with no heat exchanger), or a OEM fresh water (self contained with anti-freeze and also sea water cooled both routed through a heat exchanger), or a raw water model that has been converted to a fresh water, the location and purpose of the pumps will be different. If you are new to your boat and the engine, possibly determining the engine model isn't obvious. Either on the left or right side will be an engine nameplate. Sometimes hard to find because of tight bulkheads. Taking/posting some pictures will be helpful. Let us know!

I think the OP means the pressure water pump for sink, otherwise may I suggest a diesel mech course?

In my boat the pump is uder the starboard lazarette, under a cover, in front of the waste bladder bag
But a friend, with a similar boat, has his pump located under the head sibk, starboard, right in front of you when you open the 2 access doors

Mine is 1980, hull 143. The water pump is under the galley sink, outboard.

I've redone all the plumbing on my 33 this year. I decided to relocate the pump from the starboard cockpit locker to the head. The locker was cluttered with tees and the pump would sit in water if any leak happened. Of course, I had a bunch of leaks.

I figured I'd mount the pump on the cabinet structure but the noise from the electric pump resonated throughout the whole vessel. I resolved this by mounting a small piece of plywood to the hull with some thermoplastic urethane which absorbs the vibrations and noise of the pump. I also installed some bleed valves to help with drainage before the winter.

In my 1980 30 it's under the quarter berth with the electrical distribution panel which I've always thought was a really stupid place.

fresh water pump mounting

I've redone all the plumbing on my 33 this year. I decided to relocate the pump from the starboard cockpit locker to the head.

I have a 1981 33', ripped out the fresh water system during the course of a holding tank install. . . I haven't reinstalled the fresh water, and was wondering how long you've had the pump in the new location and how things are workin' out. . . thanks

My 77 30 has it under the starboard settee about half way to the tank from the front. Only problem with the location is it does make the space around it less than usage. Also it's not far from the house battery bank which isn't great if it springs a link.
