We bought a 2000 Hunter 460 in January. It has holes just above the waterline on the bow outside of the chain locker that are intented to let water move freely in and out of the anchor locker. But when the boat is slowed from motoring or sailing and done squatting, water remains. I have read there is supposed to be a weep hole out of the anchor locker bottom through the bulkhead, but it was sealed up when a new bulkhead was put in.
Do other Hunter 460's have these holes on the bow outside of the chain locker or were they put in by the last owner? Have others experienced water remaining in the chain locker after use and how did you solve this problem?
I appreciate anyone's replies or ideas, as I am new to the Hunter-
