Water in Bilge of 1973 Catalina 27

Noticed a slow leak of water into the bilge..checked the holding tanks and fittings for leaks and now am wondering if the Keel is loose and leaking.?? Prior to launch in the spring there was no sign of any cracks on the hull?? Anyone have any experience with this??

What type of motor?

If you're an outboard, there is no way water should get in, except by what you described, or by a leaky holding tank or freshwater tank, rain coming in thru topside leaks, or the companionway. If an inboard, is your packing gland flowing too much? That said, when my '74 OB is in her berth, I find dust in the bilge, but when she's out sailing a lot, I find some standing water there. No idea why, but it happens. Peter
