you re not the first
we have the same problem, and have seen similar posts either in this area or the smaller boats section of this website.if your boat is taking on so much water that it is sitting lower, then my idea os you must have a whole bunch of water, and that it should be very obvious everywhere. in other words, i feel doubtful you have all that much water.on the other side, i do not see a problem with this unless you are in a cold wintry climate and the water between the hull and insert should freeze and expand; this would complicate your matters considerably. we take our boat out at thanksgiving, and make sure she sits on the trailer bow high, allowing what water is there to drain aft for removal.hope this helps at leaast some.
