Its increasingly becoming a potentially serious problem, especially now that most harmful bacteria etc. are becoming resistant to most of the current available anti-biotics. What is happening is that pathogens are becoming 'resistant' before they 'jump to new species' which usually makes them even more 'potent' when they infect new opportunistic species.

Yes. There is even measurable amounts in many water supplies after going through treatment. That and many other Rx meds.

I don't buy it. I would like to see one, real, documented case of a mutated fish in San Francisco Bay due to people taking prescription drugs peeing into the bay. I think this is more hysteria fueled by one or two lab experiments and extrapolated out. So, more regulations, restrictions, taxes, government studies, etc., etc. People believe all kinds of crazy stuff. Key word is believe.
