On another thread we were discussing large Beneteaus, and their custom builder (CNB) came up. CNB is a custom/semi-custom builder and is where Beni sends you (on a private jet I imagine) if you want a boat over 65 feet.

Like the CNB 100 Chrisco. It takes a lot to get me to call something boat porn. But here you go. Full screen. Darkened room. Volume up.

EDIT - Seems you have to go to Vimeo to watch. But worth it.

Man, that is one ugly headsail. Beautiful boat though.

O wow! Incredible. However I do not see club soda dispenser or ice maker in the cockpit. Those super high-gloss cockpit tables should be self levelling ;-)

I saw, and posted a pic of a smaller one anchored in Martinique last year. Anchor comes out of an underwater hatch under the bow. It was impressive as an oddity, but I couldn't get behind all the hard lines.

Wow! The rich really are different. They even get their own Beneteaus!

Almost a Jackson Pollock on acid. There's another one later in the porno, if you consider "flames" any better.
You know what's really good after a porno, don't you?

I guess I like it. The outside kinda grows on you. But not the interior. If I was onboard, I think I'd feel like I was THX1138 if I went below. It's certainly better looking from the outside than that ugly monstrosity Steve Jobs built.

Such a well designed boat. Plenty of handholds throughout the boat to enable easy and safe movement both above and below decks. Of course those white leather/naughahyde seats will be seriously stained from the sunscreen used by the bikinied babes lounging on board.....

Wait, what was I thinking, this is about looking good at the dock at Monaco and those bikinied babes don't bother with sunscreen...

I agree on the outside but the inside lacks style. Too sterile for me.

The video does a nice job of showcasing the boat and the boat building process, that was the fun part to watch.

And where would one go to find a spinnaker like the ones shown in the video?

Hmmm, spinnaker up, flying along......with the engine running? Maybe the generator was running? Sure hope it wasn't the bilge pump!

Cheers

Anyone think it looks like a low resolution CAD drawing?
One item of interest is the fact that it has a narrow stern, which seems to be a return for Benateau. Most recent designs from them had a wide stern.

I love the headsail! When they're done with it I could make a bedspread out of it!

Boats like that size normally have their genset running all the time while underway,

AC, ice makers, water makers, electric winches. Huge power demands.

Hell, Cherokee (the 100ft racing sled) has her genset running all the time, even while racing.

In the HUGE sail locker on the foredeck. You can actually launch it right out of it.

EDIT - see below... lost on me that the question was where to BUY one!

An interesting thing happens when boats get this big.

The level of so-called 'detail' goes way down. All the 'stuff' is still there, its just spread out. And they have the luxury of using volume to hide stuff. If the designer tried to make the boat look 'busy' by loading up all that smooth open space with stuff it would look like a junkyard. So they look smooth and sleek. Look at 1/4 sized Hinckley 50 and see what I mean... smooth... And the CNB 100 is 4 times as big.

North Sails did the Volvo Race "Pirates of the Caribbean" black piraty sails if you remember. There was a guy at the Annapolis boat show last year who was offering to photo print your sails. Google 'printed sailboat sails'.
